Purpose-built for early warning

An Unblinking Eye on the Horizon

RedBox is being designed to continuously monitor the surrounding landscape for the earliest visual signs of wildfire smoke. AI analyzes images from the camera system around the clock. When potential wildfire smoke is detected, the system can generate an alert and provide imagery so personnel can quickly evaluate the situation and respond.

AI Wildfire Detection

Machine-vision technology analyzes outdoor imagery for early signs of smoke and wildfire.

360° Horizon Monitoring

Designed to monitor the surrounding landscape rather than a single narrow area.

Completely Off-Grid

Integrated solar generation and LiFePO4 battery storage allow RedBox to operate where utility power is unavailable.

Cellular Connectivity

RedBox uses cellular communications, eliminating the need for wired internet at remote deployment locations.

Built for First Responders

For eligible public-safety deployments, RedBox can utilize agency-provided FirstNet connectivity, helping agencies deploy wildfire detection in locations that would otherwise be difficult or expensive to connect.

Remote Deployment

Designed for rural communities, forests, parks, conservation areas, utilities, critical infrastructure, large properties and Wildland-Urban Interface areas.

Simple by design

How RedBox works

  1. 1

    WATCH

RedBox continuously monitors the surrounding horizon.

  2. 2

    ANALYZE

AI analyzes imagery for the visual signatures of early wildfire smoke.

  3. 3

    ALERT

Potential wildfire detections generate an alert with supporting imagery.

  4. 4

    RESPOND

Fire departments, emergency management personnel or other authorized users can evaluate the alert and respond sooner.

Off-grid capability

Wildfire Detection Where Infrastructure Ends

Traditional surveillance and wildfire monitoring systems often depend on utility power, wired communications or permanent infrastructure.

RedBox 911 is being designed differently.

Solar power, battery storage and cellular connectivity allow the system to be deployed in remote locations where traditional camera infrastructure may be impractical.

The goal is simple: put intelligent wildfire detection closer to the places that need watching.
